Ben and Faith (our Bluebird pair) have just two successful fledges following the House Sparrow attack on the 1st nest (external link). But their 2nd brood (5 nestlings) are all doing fine at six days old. Hopefully we'll have some fledge-day photos of this 2nd crew in about 2 weeks.

And we hope you enjoy these,

Kenn

Beautiful set of babies Kenn!
I'm envious of your Poebe images. These birds are certainly not seen very often in these parts.
Love the little Downy too....how cute is that!
You obviously have a keen eye for observation and we'll look forward to some more soon.

Thanks all for your comments,

We are sure fortunate to have a lot of baby birds here every year... we sure do love 'em.

Steve - Phoebes and all the Flycatchers have been rare opportunities for us too. We've never found their nests, and when they're seen at all it's usually been at distance. This year however, we apparently have a successful fledging nearby because we're shooting both parents, and juvies learning to hunt from our nearby dogwoods.

We have another box full of Bluebird nestlings (5) right at 2weeks old now (2nd nest)... So we'll hope to have another Family Blue post shortly.
