Full US warranty?

As long as it says Canon you don't need warranty. They build their camers like tanks. Last forever :p

Hmm. Like hell you don't need Canon's warranty. I've sent a Rebel to them at least 3 times, a flash twice, and several different lenses once each. Bad luck? Perhaps. But with the warranty I was only out one-way shipping rather than hundreds of dollars in repairs plus shipping.

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)

Also consider how you pay for your product. I have American Express, and they are amazing when it comes to backing me up. I've been a customer for twenty years (not sure if that has anything to do with it), but they've helped me many times. I bought a Nikon D7000, and a couple months later scratched the lens while trying to get too close to a bear in the zoo (scratched the lens on the bars). I called them and they replaced it, no questions asked.

They have a lot of backing in various areas, such as theft, damage, etc., at no extra cost. They also double every warranty you get. For example, a new canon comes with a one-year warranty. Just by purchasing it with AMEX your warranty is doubled...just like that.

They also offer $1,000 no-questions-asked protection in the first 90 days, even if you smash it in anger (I realize the 6D cost more than a grand, but still....).

Other credit cards might have similar features and protection. Shop around. Good luck.

Thank you. bw!
