Jun 26, 2013 19:39 | #2192 Brenda, I think it is sharp enough. If you shoot RAW, you have to get used to applying sharpening.

Is this sufficiently sharp? ![]() ![]() 100%crop Brings up a good question...for those of you who shoot RAW, are you generally applying some sort of sharpening on all shots? Do you have a general rule of thumb that you follow or just what looks good to you? My name is Brenda ~Saved by grace, walking by faith

Jun 26, 2013 19:57 | #2195 Brenda, I am a sharpness junkie. I apply as much as the photo will bear. Normally a radius of 1. 1920 in the evening. Shot at ISO 1600, with slightly more light, it'd be a lot better... Gerry

I then, usually, sharpen in CS5 at a radius of 1.0

Jun 26, 2013 20:25 | #2198 Been a minute since I've been on, so thought I'd stop by and say hi. Been out and about quite a bit lately and haven't been checking on here that much, but here's some contribution from me from the last few days. Went to Jellystone and had these bears coming right at us until they turned and started fighting about 50 yards from us. First bear was about 20ft. away with my 70-200, but wouldn't lift his head over the grass to get a good pic. ![]() IMG_8561 ![]() ![]() IMAGE LINK: http://www.flickr.com/photos/drdphotos/9146181223/ ![]() IMG_8591 ![]() ![]() IMAGE LINK: http://www.flickr.com/photos/drdphotos/9146180635/ ![]() IMG_8605 ![]() ![]() IMAGE LINK: http://www.flickr.com/photos/drdphotos/9148405824/ ![]() IMG_8638 ![]() ![]() IMAGE LINK: http://www.flickr.com/photos/drdphotos/9148415582/ ![]() IMG_8672 ![]() ![]() 6D . Jun 26, 2013 20:33 | #2200 Also got my first moose of the year in Utah and first aurora here too. Pic that is red was kind of irritating since I and a few other friends couldn't figure out why all our pics kept coming out red and purple, checked later and found out we were in the aurora zone that night. Like I said, been traveling a lot and got to shoot this lizard in Moab and also got some milky way shots in while camping. ![]() IMG_8406 ![]() ![]() IMAGE LINK: http://www.flickr.com/photos/drdphotos/9146249887/ ![]() IMG_8499 ![]() ![]() IMAGE LINK: http://www.flickr.com/photos/drdphotos/9146249901/ ![]() IMG_8515 ![]() ![]() IMAGE LINK: http://www.flickr.com/photos/drdphotos/9146247057/ ![]() IMG_8554 ![]() ![]() 6D . Phoenixkh a mere speck More info | Jun 27, 2013 05:51 | #2205 Master, I recently bought a used Domke F-2 and while it's great, it isn't quite big enough for my gripped 60D and the lenses in my signature. The grip is the biggest problem. I still use it for a light day trip where I don't need to bring everything. I pretty much have to leave the 15-85 attached because it's too tight with the added length of my other two lenses.
