Red Throated divers (loons?) taken in Iceland

Been on a photo trip to Iceland, where my main aim was to get some shots of red throated divers. There are no Great Northern Divers there, sadly as these species are among my favourite birds.

Anyway, here are some of the many shots I took.

Firstly taken very late at night; it doesn't get dark until well after 1 am. This was around 12 pm

Next morning I was back shoting the fishing activity.

This next shot is of the wall of water the bird throws up as she turns very sharply to get back to her family. Spectacular hey?

Great shots of this beautiful bird.
I guess that you men at there are no Great Northern Divers were these shots are taken because they are all over Iceland.

Sorry, yes I mean there were no GN Divers where I was, in the SW of the island. I LOVED it there!! A fabulous place for photography. But the weather needs good waterproof clothing. Which I took.
