Damn you guys all got your panties punched up because of price mistake. It happened and most vendor will not honor it.

Remember Amazon's deal on the 85L for $1200 a couple years ago? Price mistake, all got refund. Long thread, then what? mistake happened.

Remember the 24-70 II deal on Adomara a couple months ago, I made a purchase, price mistake and I was refunded, no $25 card whatsoever but I understood that it happened.

Looks like a bunch of sharks hanging out waiting for that small bait to drop :)

Why? If you want the $25 GC, just accept it and move on...they aren't going to send out the cameras at this price, I think it's pretty clear.

Correct.

Not quite as bad as this thread LINK on here but the same rule applies. If it sounds to good to be true, then it most likely is.

In the end, everyone is human and they make mistakes. And when a mistake does happen try to approach it as if it was a member of your own family that committed the error rather than a faceless/nameless person.

Thank you; while he isn't a member of my family, he really is a very kind, thoughtful guy, who has actually done a massive amount to turn around and improve the eBay department.

When I started with Adorama, he took me under his wing and basically taught me the ins and outs of the company; without him, I may actually not have lasted the distance.

Our customers are my number 1 priority - of course! - and I absolutely wouldn't support a colleague who was intentionally or stupidly messing up over & over.

But I don't want to look back over my life with regrets that I didn't treat others with the same level of tolerance and respect that I hope for, for myself.

If you click decline that means Adorama is still going to be on the hook for the ebay fees. That means $63 or so for each decline. You still don't get your camera because they aren't sending you one and they still have to pay ebay.

I would have thought that when Helen mentioned that the cost to them would be two people for twelve months that it would put things in perspective. Do you really want your camera at the cost of others? If you were one of those people potentially on the hook, how would you feel about it?

When the "greed" is not happy the "revenge" creeps in and all become "wolves" loosing our nature of being "human"...

Are people getting $20 or $25? I got an email saying I'd get $20 in eBay gift certificates in my account. They haven't shown up yet so I don't know which amount I'm getting. I'm just curious.

People acting like they are loyal to adorama crack me up. they are loyal to the dollar. if b and h went on there tomorrow with the better price, then all of these loyal customers would be trying to either get adorama to match it or return it.

Helen, you do probably one the hardest jobs ever. When you help someone out, you're the best friend, but when you can't all of a sudden you're the enemy. In reality you have a thankless job, so i hope you keep your chin up.

I also hope that those who messed up does not get fired. They could have several people in their lives that depend on them for livelihood. At the end of the day, the customer isn't always right and sometimes mikstakes happen.

I'll say!

And everybody is getting a $25 gift card. What a nice gesture which was totally unnecessary. Adorama is still tops in my book.

If you cancel, you guys are going to piss of a lot of loyal customers. I know for sure I will never buy anything from your company again.

Funny how we get indignant posts like this every time a vendor makes a price mistake. See these a lot on slickdeals. Fact is the only reason you bought something from Adorama in the first place was because of the price mistake.

Plus you're getting a $20/$25 gift card. Grow up or go away.

Just wondering where you are seeing the $25? Did it come in an email or in your eBay account? I cancelled last night and haven't heard anything since.

I got an email from Paypal: Adorama Ebay Department has sent you an eBay e-Gift Certificate.

The GC is visible with code, when logged into paypal, on the left side.

I haven't received any GC either, I emailed them from eBay last week and they responded that they were manually having to process them and that they were hoping to complete by end of day Friday (last week). It's Tuesday now and i haven't seen it yet. Mistakes happen and at least they are doing something to make amends for the mistake which a lot of companies won't do.
