Hi Bruce. I'm definitely interested. What's the deal for the models - photos, cash?

Dunno...
It started as a suggestion :)
Suppose we can putting feelers out at moment, not sure how many Melbourne people are still alive in here. There hasnt been much banter for years.

Anyone got any dates in mind? End of June maybe?

My preference would be any sort of outdoors based photography but the weather isnt too good for that right now. But i do enjoy playing around with the speedlights and umbrella's etc. although i have very little experience at this point.

Yea thats the *only* reason I thought if indoors. nothin worse than arranging something only to have the weather fall apart.. I like the sun..!

But i do enjoy playing around with the speedlights and umbrella's etc.

not a huge fan, but thats due to **** results in the past, but havent played much with them for a long time.

...although i have very little experience at this point. .

so... whens the next one :)

I'm organising some model photoshoots on:
June 22 - Spice Market Melbourne
August 4 - Studio (in Yarraville)

They are quite costly though, but will do my best to keep costs down

Is anyone interested in getting together on a Saturday afternoon on either 13th July or 20th July for a model shoot in a studio in Kensington?

http://www.lightdropstudios.com.au (external link)

Approximately 4 hours from 1.00pm. Studio hire $264.00. Model hire $100 total if we supply her with edited photos of the shoot or $160 with no photos. She will do her own make-up and bring some outfits. We supply our own lights, etc. This studio also offers good natural window light.

I have never shot in a studio so will be a learning experience for me. I have some manual Speedlites and basic radio triggers as well as umbrellas and light stands.

Probably looking at a total of 4 photographers with the total cost shared evenly between us. I would need a definite commitment fairly soon so I can make the bookings.

13th - Im in.. Giving her copies of photos is easy. Be nice to get a second model, but not a must have.
I might have a mate too. I'll get back to u.
Have portable backdrop we can use with 2 coloured backdrops.

Do we have a theme, or can we suggest a theme?

Good stuff Bruce. No theme as yet. Open to suggestions but will probably come down to what the model has available.
