I agree I wish adorama would match it.

For price matching questions you need to email me directly with a link to the item on our website, and on our competitor's site: Helen@adorama.com (external link)

Bought my 600 MK II at Allens camera. Free shipping, no sales tax. The price was by-far the best. I live just outside the city and could have driven to B&H or Adorama. Allens was still cheaper and the service was incredible.

You need to email me directly with links to the item on our website and on our competitor's site: Helen@adorama.com (external link) - BUT, matching to non-US stores is less likely because they wouldn't be providing a US warranty

Allen's Camera in PA. I bought my 500 from them $9979. three months ago. Very knowledgeable people.

Canada has great prices on the lens but credit card surcharge, shipping and "possible" duty made that avenue less attractive.

After looking high and low in USA and trying to get price matches I ended up purchasing my lens from Allen's Camera in PA. Price was $9974.00 plus shipping. Bottom line I saved $400.

I'll share a picture when I get to go outside and test it out.

With all due respect, your comment is incorrect and I'm surprised it is coming from a knowledgeable authorized Canon re-seller. Aden does not sell gray market Canon products, nor does any Canadian authorized Canon dealer, as per their Dealer agreement. The warranty included with all Canon (non gray market) purchases is a US/Canada warranty as evidenced by the US/Canada Canon warranty card.

All USA dealers refused to match any prices on this lens regardless whether USA or Canada. So it was strictly who had the best price at that point and that was Allen's Camera. Allen's provided at great purchase experience. That's my plug for the lowest price.

Nevertheless, Adorama is less likely to price match to a Canadian retailer than to a US retailer

Helen,

I was told on first request that Vistek was not an authorized Canon dealer and they had a poor reseller rating, this was from Meyer and no match . So a found a USA based authorized dealer with a lower price and gave you and Meyer an opportunity to keep my business. I was told by Meyer via voice mail and by your email sorry we will not match on this lens period. I am a loyal VIP customer and wanted to keep my business with you, but a $400+ savings is to big to pass up. Yes I'm disappointed that I did not get the VIP warranty and other perks I get, but no hard feelings.

Again more inaccurate statements from Adorama. Vistek is indeed an authorized Canadian Canon dealer. In addition, where does the "poor reseller rating" originate from.

I have bought from Vistek and they are professional and very customer oriented. Their prices can be a little higher however.

I agree, but I was not in a position to argue, so I found a USA dealer at a lower price and still no match... Lets just end this topic.

I have my new lens and I'm happy now.

Oh and next purchase I will be shopping for is a new 5D3.

If you read the previous post more carefully, it wasn't Adorama that said this, it was Meyer.

Isn't Meyer and Adorama one in the same? He was representing the store when he talked to me.
