am I missing something is besides better ISO and more focal points for the money, I would never use the video.....

rebel xti will suit you just fine.

Not just more points, far better off-center points with much more customizability (AF and general functionality).


Current: 5DM3, 6D, 8mm fish, 24-105/4IS, 35/2IS, 70-200/2.8IS, 85/1.8, 100-400/IS v1, lensbaby composer with edge 80, 580's and AB800's

I'll NEVER get rid of the 5DII but the III provides better IQ over all + improved noise reduction + dual card reader + FASTER to mention the obvious. For me it's the ultimate portrait/marriage master.

Video is on 5DII as well. The point of the 5DIII is better AF and slightly better high ISO, so if you don't need those and you are buying new then go for the 6D (because it is better than the 5DII and the price difference is minimal).
