yeh...but not at 5 months. She will be "fixed" after 12 months.

Unless she becomes kung pao kitten first!!!

She is still NOT forgiven for the table surfing!!

A cat is not worth getting in trouble with any authorities. Just give it away.

But the authorities don't care about cats dragging cameras to the floor, unless the owner of that camera happens to be NASA and the camera very expensive. But then the blame would be on NASA.

I'm not familiar with Quantaray's but having a quick look around, it looks like the foot assembly (and some electronics) is a detacheable unit that comes specific to the camera type used (Canon/Nikon etc) so if it's that type, then just getting a replacement module should sort it.

Have a look at: http://www.amazon.com …OS-AUTO-FOC/dp/B00009V38U (external link) and see if it's the same unit...

Joeseph, just an update...and a strange update, at that.

Bought the module you referenced in the above post...received said module...flash no workie. Looked at the module I received and looked at the module on the flash. Guess what. Module on the flash is a NIKON mount. Contacted seller for a NIKON module...asked him to verify the NK on the module. Purchased...received today...guess what...FLASHIE WORKIE!!

Another strange thing...the flash (or module, perhaps) now makes a weird noise. I'm not sure what it is yet...when I turn off the flash or it "sleeps"...it makes a small gurgle...then trails off.

good result! how's the cat? ;)

no point worrying about the noises - you can't do anything about it apart from torment the cat with it :p

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", 1D MK II converted for IR, and now an M5
