I will let you have a play on Sunday with my 85 f1.2 if you want Pen, I'm not sure you will like it, very slow to focus not sure if it will be any good for candid shots of dogs?

I can bring my 85mm f1.8 ;)

super shot, it almost doesn't look real because it's so unbelievable that it actually happened, I bet you couldn't believe what you were seeing!!!

85 1.8 as it focuses faster than 1.2 and 135 2.0.

I knew something had happened but when nailing 12 shots per second you don't see much through the viewfinder ;) Clipped the wings on a couple just because it was so full frame, when I chimped it I was certainly pleased

Give it some 500px lovin please http://500px.com/photo/39364264 (external link)

Black and white for me.

Any suggestions please - I'm doing more candid dog/people stuff - needing to not use a flash and often working indoors (examples below). I"ve been using my 50mm f1.4 which is great but am wondering about something else - had a look at 85mm f1.2 but perhaps I don't really need f1.2. Any thoughts?

These are lovely. I find the 50 f/1.4 pretty much perfect for candid indoor work. It's the perfect length for indoors and as your photos above prove it makes a great photo.

Another option is that I`ve been using the Sigma 85mm F1.4 for a while and its absolutely superb, price inbetween the Canon F1.2 and F1.8 but focuses very fast and accurately, and optically cant fault it. I know in the past Sigma have been known for focus issues, but I have never had an issue at all, used it alot in New York to which it excelled.

I`ve been so happy with Sigma Primes I bought their new 35mm F1.4 ART lens, and wow optically that thing is amazing, and built like a tank!!!

I've got the bad feeling that I should've split the auction, rather than put them both up together as one lot.

I would increases the number of potential buyers, you can always close the auction and relist them

Can you close after it has bids on it though? It's got 20 watchers, probably mostly people selling theirs and looking for prices, so I might just risk it. Up to a dizzying £10.50 now! :D

yes you can, there is an option for this item is no longer available as long as its over 12 hours before the end of auction I think.
