This is an extreme crop of the Red-tailed Hawk I've been photographing for the last 6 months or so. I found it yesterday morning and followed it for a few hours as it hunted.

Here is a video as it perched in a tree. I stacked 2 extenders onto my 500mm lens and the focal length was 1050mm. It could care less 4 of us were there photographing it.

I don't know Duane, it sure looks like he is getting ready to send you a message as to how he feels! Excellent portrait beautiful eye detail.

OMG...was my 1st impression as I saw the first image, WOW, amazing shots..gorgeous portrait...love them both!!

Wow Duane. That first one really jumped out at me. It's so sharp it seems like I could reach out and touch it.

Great shots! I think he is imitating a turkey in the second shot!

Very nice video...the song "Same kind of bad as me" was playing on Pandora when I viewed your video...it fit perfectly!
