Howdy All,

One from a visit to my local Manhattan Beach Botanical Garden:

PHOTOBUCKET EMBEDDING IS DISABLED BY THIS MEMBER.
Photobucket sends ads instead of embedding photos from their free galleries.
Click the link (if available) below to see the image in a gallery page.

Looks like Photobucket removed my image so I directly uploaded it back 01-14-2020 just in case anyone cares :p.

Love it. The colours on that hopper are fantastic and the addition of the ant in there is quite a picture :)

Howdy All,

I entered this photo in a local magazine's annual photo contest and got 3rd place :D. I think I won a P&S camera but I haven't been officially notified yet .

love the combination of both, colors seems too saturated.

The saturation isn't far off, if at all. The hopper is a blue-green sharpshooter, and that species is pretty vivid.

Congratulations on your win, Dave!

I have Cicadellidae around here as well and I agree they are pretty vivid. But globally the picture seems a bit over saturated for my personal taste (both the insect and the leaf) but it also might be due to lighting WB...

Congratulations Dave :D
