These little guys are always randomly scattered around my house. Usually by windows. I had no idea they had this pattern on them (or even looked like this) until I took this picture because they are tiny.

Looks like a nearly bald varied carpet beetle. The larvae eat soft furnishings !

I would agree, the pattern is just showing on the side.

Given what I have seen in work, you will get a few more chances to get some shots....
