Just bought the combo 6D + 24-105L... I was thinking of selling the L lens in the beginning since if i buy the combo and sell the lens away for 700 bucks, it is a better deal.... But then seeing how great the images are, I am not sure should I sell it and regret later.... Right now I have 17-40L for landscape and sigma 50 1.4. In one or 2 years I prob will get a 85L. Should I keep the 24-105 or sell it and get 35L later complement with Siggy 50 and the 85L?

I'd keep the 24-105 but mainly because there are many times I'll go out for a day trip somewhere with my family and I only bring my camera with one lens attached. It's my go to lens for that purpose. If you shoot with more of a purpose in mind every time, then probably ditch it and grab an 85 f1.8 for now and sell it later when you upgrade to the 85L.

Keep it. It is a nice all in 1 lens to have for when you go out :). It is also a very nice lens indoors and gets very sharp when stopped down.

Looking at your gear list, I'd say keep it for now.

If you decide to sell it, I'd recommend putting the money towards the 70-200 f4 IS.

On mine I find the sweet spot to be around f/8 - f/11.

Keep it and use it for a while. If its not your thing sell it, but I would at least try it out.

I would definitely keep it. I am actually getting the 6D kit too hopefully this weekend if all goes well money wise. I plan on using the "kit" lens for most of my shots. I say "kit" in quotes because being an L lens totally takes the "kit" feel away from it in comparison to the Rebel kits that come with the 18-55's

Keep it, its such a good general focal length to use. Its my "one lens solution" when I just want to walk around and carry only one lens. Maybe I have a really good copy, but mine is extremely sharp wide open. I know this lens often gets varied impressions due to its "kit" status because it comes packaged with cameras sometimes. But you can't beat the usefulness of the focal range :)

I was planning to do the same until I tested the 24-105L. Now it's on my camera 80% of the time. The IS is one other feature I really like.

LOL, I too bought a 6D with the 24-105L, with the plans of selling it to offset the costs of upgrading, but I really like the lens, so Im keeping it.

Sold mine twice and regretted it every single time, and I get it back the 3rd time as kit lens with the 5D3, won't be selling it ever again....its my must-have kit lens for sure. LOL
