Gear Acquisition Syndrome. It affects everyone who frequents POTN, eventually. Save yourself, if you can.

=he's gone;16104229]A while back some kid started a thread about having seven grand to spend on gear. The best advice I saw was to spend half on gear and the other half on traveling to scenic locations to take pics.

So yeah take your wife to LV and maybe rent a car to head down to the Grand Canyon and lake Powell taking pictures the whole time.

Thank me later.

I remember that thread and your response. Best advise I ever saw here personally. I don't recall the outcome for the "kid" but I hope he took it. Unfortunately, with two in college and one headed there in a year my chances to travel with the Mrs. is limited for a while but I will remember it down the road.

Doesn't stop me from having GAS but it helps (a little) for keeping it relatively in check.:)
