Cheapest I have seen ever. I can't vouch for these guys since I never purchased from them, but I know people who have and had no complaints.

I'd get this one if I was shopping for a body.
I agree with jinwho81 - owned more at least 15 bodies the last 7 years - never needed warranty.

Lowest price on EBay in a couple of weeks.

If people don't want to go through the rebates and flipping the lens on the Adorama and B&H deal, this might be an option...

Got both of my 5Diii and SL1 through this vendor... no problems, but YMMV.

I would def pick up 6D over 5D2.

$1500 is still a lota money for average guy like myself, so w/o any warranty, i would never feel right.

I paid $1799 for my 6D after a lot of research. From the comments above mine, it sounds like this vendor might be legit. However, I found that most (or all) of the lower prices I encountered were for something other than a brand new camera. Mostly they were refurbished, re-boxed, and sold as new. I'm not saying that's the case here, but make sure you do the research. Even some of the review sites were skewed by the vendor filing complaints with them about unwarranted negative reviews, which the reviewing sites then just removed without any further review.
In the end, I chose to go with an authorized dealer (Huppin's HiFi, aka: Onecall.com), who sold me the camera for $100 less than any of the other big (B&H, Adorama, etc) vendors were advertising.

Seems like we have been going through this a lot lately, but it bears repeating in this thread too. Here are some random facts to know:

With BigValue Inc, you are likely buying a grey market camera. A grey market camera is physically the same camera as a US model, but it was imported to the United States from another country that sells Canon equipment.

More often then not, the camera is brand new, works great, and never needs any service.

If you do need warranty service, Canon USA may or may not service your camera under warranty. They do not have to help you, but they have helped some folks on occasion. It all comes down as to who processes your repair. It may work out, or you may have to pay for a repair that is normally covered under warranty.

On somewhat of a rare occasion, people have bought a camera form BigValue and they received a camera that had already been opened and used, or they receive a camera that is missing key items, such as the battery or eye piece cover. With any authorized Canon dealer, you would normally process an exchange or a return, but it's not so easy with BigValue. They might do an even exchange with you, but there have been plenty of instances where they do not work well with their customers, often subjecting them to a 15% restocking fee, taking months to refund the customer's money, or in a few instances, not allowing any exchange or refund whatsoever. (This has happened to a few POTN members.)

This is an educated guess on my part, but it seems like buying from Big Value works out 95% of the time. But when it doesn't work out, you could be out a few hundred dollars or you might have to live with a used camera when you thought you were buying new.

Either way, the choice is for the consumer to make. I just want to see folks educated so they can make a decision that's right for them based on their own tolerance for risk.

Bryan
