Ok so my friend asked me to shoot her wedding. I tried to respectfully get out of it but she insisted. I know the money was tight since they had just purchased a home but my thought is maybe now it seems like a good idea but in a few years looking back they may think differently. Anyhow, I have shot two backyard weddings before bit this was my first attempt at a real wedding.

These are a few I am now trying to do some editing in post (not my strength) but if anyone has some feed back it would be greatly appreciated.

I actually ended up enjoying it a lot. I even got my neighbor to come and shoot as a second.

I can only upload 2 images

You did fine if the couple is happy. I like the first shot a lot. If I was the bride I would have wanted more of my dress to be shown and a bit less of it blown out in that second shot...groom's shirt as well but that is just me perhaps. And I was married in the back yard...does that mean it wasn't a "real wedding"...don't answer that...we are divorced now.

The black and white looks nice, the colour shot you have way too much clipping of the highlights going on, lots of lost details from the dress and his shirt which will look bad when printed. Hopefully you shot in raw and you can pull some of this detail back if you didn't get the exposure too far off.

Both shots are nice compositions and moments captured but you really need to try and recover some details from the colour shot.

Thank you, I have a few more of these that I think include more dress. I too had a backyard wedding - same result :)

I will work on the exposure a bit in the second one
