Nice shots! Can't believe I totally spaced out on this. I planned on going last year but like someone mentioned, the rain kept me from going.

Whats everyones plan for 4th of July? I decided I do not want to take my daughter to waterfront to watch, was thinking maybe the Rose Garden next to the Japanese Garden. Anyone ever been there to watch fireworks?

Hey Peter, thanks for the offer to meet up. Actually I would be thrilled to do that. I have some logistical issues I'd have to work through, but I'm certain we could pull it off. :)

Do you have anything in particular in mind?

BTW, I tried so send this via PM and got an error saying your inbox is full and needs maintenance... :)

Thanks. Clearing it right now. :D,

Peter

welcome home indeed - great shot from above.

Rainier National Park, first visit for an overnight of sunset, star shooting, and sunrise... I plan on going back later in summer after this incredible experience.

Rainier National Park, first visit for an overnight of sunset, star shooting, and sunrise... I plan on going back later in summer after this incredible experience.

Thumbs up! That area*(the east side of the mountain in general) is among my favorites. It's typically less crowded than Paradise but somehow the views are more majestic.

How long you been in the PNW? Surreal experience at Rainier, isn't it!

I don't think I've ever posted this one here, so might as well. The first time I saw the Mountain from the air was 16 years ago... last year was the second time I've seen it. I thought I was sitting on the wrong side of the plane but man was I happy I was wrong.
