Its actually a 400mm f/4 DO. (As you said with 2 extenders.)

As far as i know, canon has never made a 1000mm lens.
With FD mount the longest was a 800mm f/5.6.
With EF mount the longest is the 1200mm f/5.6, and the 800mm f/5.6

There is of course the Canon 5200 mm f/14, but THAT monster waaay exeeds our budgets... :)

My guess is 500mm with 2x and 1.4x.
