Here's my humble collection. Can't wait for my 70-200mm f2.8IS to put the icing on the cake.

Remember that many of these guys are old and [formerly] rich, like Belmondo and Skip (world travelers to boot!) and have nothing to do but buy camera equipment that is smarter than they are ... well, at least that's all true in my case ... except being rich and old and having nothing to do  ... and remember, it is the photographer who makes the pictures, not the equipment.

There's some truth to what you say. Admittedly I am old, but I must correct you in this regard----I am formerly rich. Photography has played a key role in that turn of events.

Indeed, all my camera equipment is smarter than I am. Even a roll of duct tape has me beat by several IQ points.

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

I was trying to save face for you by not mentioning the duct tape, sigh.

I was heartened to learn that you were not the guy who threw his tripod into the volcano!

I finally felt like I had enough to post a pic of them. It's not much compared to some, but it's a start! And it doesn't include boxes for filters, mem cards, my older A310 camera, and two tripods.

oh ya i totally see where you guys are coming from, i have only had my 20d for a little over a month. previously i had an e-500 and a crappy lens and 3 nice ones, so im starting over. even with my cheaper canon lenses and the 20d, im 100000% satisfied and have no regrets switching to a new system!

ps-tomorrow is payday, and im ordering a 50 and bg-e2! yay
