^^^^ Very nice images! The first two have a really surreal look. I wouldn't ordinarily like the horizon line in the center of the image, but it works with those.

Finally got to taking this lens out for the summer festivals here in Japan.

I shot most of my pictures at the festival with the 70-200. I've been debating whether I should sell this to get the Tamron 70-200 VC or not. I think the lightness + image quality is perhaps this lens' best assets.

Thanks, yes it was a two week trip we had been planning for about 9 months starting at Teton NP, then Yellowstone, Glacier, Canada, and down the Wa, Or and Cali coast to San Fran. Had good weather for the most part although the day we came down the Cali coast it was socked in most of the way.

The happiest shot was the first and the saddest was the last.

I've been following this thread (and the 70-200 2.8 thread) because I'm looking at a 70-200. I'm trying to decide if the 2.8 is worth the extra expense. Any thoughts? My thinking, so far, that it might be worth it for low light shots.

That's a lot of "difference" $ wise but I'm very happy with the f/4 IS.

I didn't even know it was on the flower when I took the picture.
