Are you referring to their plate? If so, it's on my DSLR right now and works great, no complaints.

I wasn't completely happy with my own quick release system for my Cinch Classic so when I bought the Cinch 2 for my wife's SL1, I ordered the additional pieces for a complete Luma solution. Neither of us were thrilled with either setup so I ended up spending more money (Imagine that!!) and ordered the mini clamp from RRS: http://reallyrightstuff.com …ith-3-Strap-Bosses&key=it (external link)

I was initially concerned that it might loosen up in use but so far, it stays tight during several hours of walking and shooting. The nice thing is one twist and and the camera is tripod ready.

As Greg once said: "If RRS is an option, RRS is the answer." I tried to resist posting this last bit.... but I was unsuccessful. ;)

What does everyone find as the best way to attach this strap. Looking to order one but do not know the pro's and con's of each way. Can those that have them give some advice? I have had the BR RS-7, so I have used one with the tripod mounting hole. Not sure if that is the best way.

Thanks,

John

There are several ways to attach the strap. You can use their Arca plate, or an L-plate. I usually do the top left corner of the camera, and the right side of the plate (best configuration IMO). You can also do the top left corner of the camera, and the left side of the plate (I use this configuration when I want to attach the Cinch along with a hand strap [hand strap is on the top right corner of the camera and the right side of the plate], as well as the two sides of the plate. Any of the configurations are comfortable. It also comes with a tripod mounting hole similar to the BR, but less bulky. If you do not have a tripod, that is an option as well. Hope that makes sense and helps. Great strap, very customizable!

It was the block pattern when it launched, but it's moved to the honeycomb (the round pattern)

Are you using a L-plate? If so, are you attaching the QR clamp to the bottom or side?

Researching Manfrotto 410 (RC4) -> Arca clamp options, I came across this sweet approach:

I'm still hoping for a "short" attachment for this strap. As it is the strap is tad too long. I'm 5'6".

Is the v2 a much better improvement over v1?
I currently have v1 and thinking of passing it
on to my brother to uprade to v2.

It's an improvement IMO. If your brother needs a good strap, I'd say go for it. You guys will both be happy :).
