just got the M with the 22mm pancake... my idea is not to carry all my stuff together with my 5d... I want to travel as light as possible...later my next choice would be the 11-22 when available and keep the smaller EF-M lenses.

I went to a local store to have a look at the M + 22 + adapter kit, but they did not have it. I talked a bit with the guy and asked when they will have it in stock again... He said that they will not order it because they have been informed that a new version of will come out in August or September... I had not heard that before

Just got the e-mail from amazon.de that I will receive my ef-m 11-22 on Wednesday! Hurray!!!! Guess what, we have Robbie Williams tickets for Wednesday evening and on the ticket it says: "professional cameras not allowed". Perfect for my new little "m" looking as harmless as it gets... ;)

That's an excellent use for the M :)

I am really tempted to buy the EOS M as a camera to complement my 60D but I just don't know if I should pull the trigger now or wait for the update which we all know will come soon.

I am just thinking if you can get the M at $299 now what will the price of the new M be, probably somewhere around $600-800, and I don't know if I can justify that kind of money.

Anyone else feel this way?

I feels a bit like that too, although I am also wondering what the new features of the M2 will be. In addition, I cannot find the 22/2.0 kit here.

Same question -- I just ordered the M w/22mm lens. I'm thinking whatever they release next will come with the 18-55. If I can afford the M2, then I'll get the kit. Even if I can't afford the M2, a lot of kit lenses will get resold used.

If the M2 has the new 70D sensor, then I'll likely get it no matter the cost, and sell the M body for whatever I can (probably $100 tops). If the M2 does not have pdaf-on-a-chip, then I'll just get a used 18-55, and sit on that kit for a while (i.e. 2 lenses: 22 and 18-55)

I have ordered the 22 kit with the EF adapter. My favorite shop just got a couple of 22 kits back in stock and I ordered one directly :)

I'm on the fence about picking an M up as well. Recently sold a 40D so I'm down to a 1DS MKii and a G11. May dump the G11 if the M isn't too terribly much larger and has better quality images. I noticed the 18-55 kit is still marked down but it looks like the 22 kit is back up to old price. Did you get the 22 kit on sale somewhere? Any chance of you or anyone posting a pic next to a full size DSLR like the 5D series.

Good for you! The EOS M with the 22mm prime lens is a lot of fun. Nothing wrong with the M zoom lens, but that little 22 is a blast to use.

Yes, I also get the adapter to put on the 17-40 until I decide what other lens I get. Canon should announce some M lenses before the end of the year :)

I'd say it'd be a pretty huge upgrade from a G11. I don't have a shot with it next to my 6D, but I do have a shot of it with a Yongnou flash on it (same size as 580ex speedlite). You can also see the beer bottle in the back for comparison ;)

I am still waiting for mine and I will not get it until I am back from vacations with my 5D3. I did not get it on sale and will pay more if I end up buying the 18-55, but the difference is not that big.
