.. not these forums, but the Canon USA online forum.

At first I laughed,. only about 13 years late to the party.
Then I was miffed they asked me to join, and didn't ask me to run them! :)

Any way, good for Canon to join the 20th century 13 years too late!

Good luck Canon! :D

How is THAT thing going to be different from THIS thing? Instant ban when you mention film?

I'm curious how they'd treat talk like what we're seeing with Magic Lantern...

Just curious, Jake . . . why might Canon ask you to run their online forum? Do you have past experience with that sort of thing?

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

Have you gotten any requests to sell old style choppers to the NY/NJ members here? Sorry, I thought you were Senior.

No, I haven't had any such requests. In fact, I don't know what you mean by "choppers", and I certainly don't know what they have to do with photography.

I would still like to hear from Jake, as to why he might have been asked to run their forum. I am curious to now if he has any experience with the administration of internet discussion forums (other than helpin' out as a mod here on POTN).

Yes, when a person spends over 10k on Canon equipment and realizes that there are other photography companies out there that currently are making much better products then what Canon can offer is automatically a troll.

get a life and burst out of that Canon bubble.

I think you can figure out the difference between comparing brands and spamming threads with anti-Canon stuff hoping to get a rise out of people.
