The Nifty is a much different lens on FF than crop. You should keep it and try it out on the 6D. It's relatively cheap, and doesn't really lose value (unless it breaks). Keep it around and try it out for 6 months. It's a fun lens on FF.

nifty on FF

I knew about those "fees" but $40 taken out of a $300 sale? That's over 10% which I'm pretty sure I saw it say only takes 3ish%

Let me start off by saying keep the 50mm lens. I'm thinking your new to E-Bay so I'll
try to explain how it works.
When you sell on E-Bay you have two separate accounts a Pay-Pal and a E-Bay. When
you sell the Item the Pay-Pal cut about three percent or two point something is taken
right then and there. The E-Bay cut about ten percent is a monthly charge. So let me
tell you again your not going to sell a $300 Item for a fee of $3.00. Now this will really
frost you the fees apply to the shipping you charge.

I personally love my 50mm I've taken some of my best images with it. For what you'd get for it used I'd keep it honestly. With that said if you ever sell it down the road you're not going to take a huge hit. On a FF it's a lot of fun I've shot it before on a friend's 1DX which felt funny shooting a $120 lens on an $8000 body lol

Just wait 15 years, they will be using them for doorstops and you will be lusting after the 1DXXX which will include the clothing optional imaging option.

Hmm interesting. Every time I try to sell on Craigslist (I've sold plenty there) the buyers lowball to an extreme. I just listed a brand new watch that retails for 550 and I wanted 300. He offered me 150. That is just one of the many examples of lowballing on CL

I could try that!

A couple of years ago I sold a 24-70L for $800 on CL and the buyer tried to lowball me to death at that price.

You didn't have to sell it to him.

You might like the 50mm on full frame.

IMO, I love 50mm so much more on my 5d than on my 550d. its a lot more useful as far as focal length

I use my 50 1.8 all the time. It's a great lens and can't imagine selling it.

Keep it unless you're going to replace it with another 50mm. I sold mine when I got my first vintage 50mm (Yashica DS-M 50/1.7) since it produced more pleasing results and was more fun to shoot with, but as far as AF lenses go, the EF 50/1.8 is a great value ;)

Thank you everyone for the continuous responses even after this thread was dead for a week. I have already decided to keep the lens and have been using it for awhile again. No need to tell me to keep it anymore, lol.
