Can you call Canon and get a warranty card?

You can not call for a warranty card. Each warranty card has a serial number for that camera. If you want to be covered under warranty, you can register the camera.

Congrats on the new camera and I'm glad you received the accessories that are supposed to come with it. However, I still call foul on Big Value's sale through eBay. They state that a 1-year USA warranty is included. How are they going to provide that? It's deceptive advertising and deceptive selling on eBay. If they didn't mention the 1-year warranty in their listing, then it wouldn't be a deceptive sale.

I really do wish you the best of luck and I hope your camera doesn't experience any issues in the next year. Odds are you won't...I just hope the odds are on your side.

Bryan

Thanks I completely agree. I do wish they would just have stated "no warranty card" or grey market/imported as B&H does.

I do appreciate your message.

Received the camera tonight. The shipping was fast. Two days. It came in a kit box, but is in untouched brand new condition. All accessories were included.

Only missing item is the (Warranty Card) To me its worth the savings. Overall, I'm satisfied.

Congratz you'll love the 5D3, it's a great camera.

No. I registered it online at the web site above. I bought mine refurbed from B&H with a 1 yr warranty. The camera came with a letter from Canon...discussing how to obtain warranty service under their "Refurbished Product Limited Warranty".

The camera had 0 shutter actuations when I took it from the box.

This is a good news. I was in the market to buy a FF camera and I have read through 60 pages of their feedback to see about the Canon 5d3 and 6d and most of them are imported camera most buyer are happy some others don't. They have posted on their ebay site for the warranty information please contact them this is a deal killer and I ended up purchased from getitdigital they claim the 6D is US model and brand new, we shall see when it arrive.

I had to return my first 5D MKIII and reordered from GetItDigital via Ebay. Unfortunately it was $450 more than BV (I bought it for $3k). Looking at Canon's warranty policy, Amazon receipt is enough for coverage but GetItDigital via Amazon states Used on the receipt. Maybe I can white out the "Condition:Used" line ;) in the event warranty is ever needed. Either way I'm kind bummed that I could have bought it for so much less.

Today and tomorrow Ebay Bucks are tripled, for those who are qualified for Ebay Bucks. However, there is a $100 limit.
Still, today and tomorrow you can get $100 back on this 5DIII.

I'm just seeing: You'll earn $50.92 in eBay Bucks

i've gotten the double ebay bucks over a year ago, not sure why it isn't showing up now.

Purchased a 5D MKIII from them a while back. Gray market, no cards, foreign charger, and ZERO credibility with the BS stories they told when I called for explanation.
Buyer beware!

Looks like 3rd party charger here in their current ebay sale listing also. Hmm... somethings not right here..

General comment: well, this pretty much confirms that you're getting a grey market camera, imported from who knows where. Its probably new, but who knows for sure. At a minimum, someone opened it up and took parts and pieces out.
