The game will last 7 Days and whoever can produce the best edited image (as judged by me) will be picked and it'll be their turn to post their unedited picture for all of us to take a crack at.

The participants must have their "Image Editing OK" turned on and they must provide at least a simple breakdown of how they edited the image, some entrants are a little vague on this point, please give us all details so we can learn and share tips. For instance if you use the unsharp mask tool or Smart Sharpen, provide us with the adjustments you used so others can try them out.

You can post multiple images, but the first image you post will be the one that is judged - all other images will be considered for knowledge and tip use only.
Feel free to comment and/or ask questions at any time. This is a good competition for learning new methods, so let's make it a bit more dynamic. I will be judging edits, not comments. Feel free to comment on the original image as well.

If you happen to be the winner of the game please start the next one with the title of the game and the following number. For example…the next game should read "Before & After #482".

Submissions end, Tuesday, July 30th, 2013 at 10:41AM (New York time +0) and a winner will be announced.

duplicated layer, increased contrast and sharpness, decreased brightness, erased out of focus areas with soft/round eraser brush at 1500 px. resized and saved.

Cropped to suit, then duplicated and flipped layer, then masked out areas to add width. Removed some poles and roping. Removed original people. Added the moon and adjusted color and saturation. Added the ghost images. Added noise and overlaid a colored layer at reduced opacity.

Welcome home.

When I first saw this one I had no idea what to do with it, but decided to go way out there.
Used LR4,CS5,Nik;viveza, Silver efex 2.
cropped, cloned out people and rope, b&w conversion, added clouds and moon.

Changed a few things in Camera Raw, whites, shadows and highlights, sharpened, then opened in CS6, duplicated BG, lens correction to straighten and rotate, crop, put in multiply mode, then applied mask and brought back some darker areas, smart sharpen and flatten

Another tough one to judge, guys.

T3 heavy shop- I like the colors, and the fact that you cloned out the tree branch in the upper left hand side.

M six- Good to see you back. i like the purple b&w tint, ghosts, and cinematic (black 2.35:1 aspect ratio bar) effect. Good call removing people.

Colt4570- Clean edit. This pic was begging for black and white. Nice touch with the sky and moon. I would have put a grad filter on the trees or played with exposure to get the white masked area around the trees to match the sky. Your recreation of the steps and "castle shed" look good.

Nigel D- exposure looks good. Lens correction really changed the image for the better. Nice work.

and the winner is...............

Thanks Dawicka2! Nice bottle, lol. I'll have to admit, I almost didn't do the edit, that shot was pretty intimidating. Good job everyone.

Give me a few to find a shot, and I'll post it in a bit.
