...now the lens hood doesn't fit snugly and easily slides off with no resistance at all... It doesn't even really "click" in anymore,

just wondering if this is something anyone else is experiencing or not? I.E. the lens hood not fitting snuggly after some use?

Just the opposite for me; it fits too snugly. To the point that I'm afraid I'm gonna break something when I put it on or take it off.

That's how it was for me. I'm on my second 35 (sold the first, realized I made a mistake) and the first lens hood was far too loose after about 2 months with it.

This may just save me from selling my 35. I had it posted for sale on here but no one seemed interested at the time, lucky me! It's definitely the sharpest lens I own, even at 1.4.

Although I find myself getting more results with my 50 1.4, when I get results with this lens, it's better than my 50. Not to mention when I sold it off I didn't know what to do with myself

Is everyone having good results with the outer focus points and this lens?
On my 6D i have the center point MF adjusted +2.
To get correct focus with the rightmost focus point i have to use +9, and the leftmost is +4.
Is this variation normal or is there perhaps a problem with either the 6D or the Sigma?

/ David

Thanks for the replies re: the lens hood.

Hmm. I wonder if I could send it back and get a new one based on that...?

Would it be considered a big enough defect?
