That's why I never believe a word Rockwell says. He makes so much stuff up that it's borderline ridiculous.

I got this lens last week. I like it more than I liked my 16-35 II.

I know right? I'm having way more fun with this lens then I ever did with my original 16-35mm.

I have been saving for the 16-35, I already have 15mn and the 20mn range is missing.
How is the IQ compared to the L? I never go past 32iSO

As I mention to most, this lens doesn't make a lot of sense for APS-c cameras. A 32mm f/2.8 is just..... Well it's just not that wide frankly. I think it's a lot of fun on full frame, but I never put it on my 7D when I still had one.

Always wanted this lens even before coming to this thread. Just picked one up and even more excited to use it after reading and seeing all the posts. Just sold my 16-35mm v.2 and moving to this. Looks like a lot of fun.

Ah interesting, I'd like to hear how your transition has gone. Part of me was giving some thought to going back to a wide zoom (a small part). I'm still plugging away with the 20mm and it's doing fine.

But wouldn't it be a great lens to get the 35mm equivalent on APS-C? (Like for street)

That is what I plan to do with it if I pick one up used. I currently use an old Nikon 24mm 2.8 non Ai for street on my T2i. I already have a Tokina 11-16 for wide angle coverage. The 20mm seems nice enough and auto focus if needed.

Just picked this up in a trade for a tamron 17-50 since moving to ff. First image shot with it just for kicks. seems like a decent lens but I'll have to get used to a wide prime.

Took this over the weekend of my wife's cousins wedding in New Orleans. Great walk around lens for anything on a crop sensor. Also, focus is quick on my T2i.
