Anyone bought 70-200 f2.8L IS & 580EX II there? 20% off those babies would be sweet!

You can get 20% off a refurb lens when you buy a camera body. T3i and 70-200 IS II. Sold the T3i for what I paid for it.

I had no idea about the 20% off option on the lenses and speedlights. I definitely would tried to take advantage of that. I thought about trying to call them and see if I could still do it since it's only been a few days, but I checked the site and almost every lens is out of stock. Oh well.

Is there a difference between "out of stock" and "backordered" on the Canon refurb page? The good experiences reported here have given me confidence in buying a 5DIII through the program, but am wondering when it may be possible to purchase it. Also, if the refurb page does not list it as available, is there a point in calling the CLP number (I was planning to grab the extra 15% through CLP as well.) Thanks in advance for any insight into these questions.

From what I've read on different forums it still pays to call even if the camera is not on the refurbed page. Cameras might be in stock but the webpage might not have been updated.

Don't think there's a difference between "out of stock" and "backordered"

Received my 5D3 last week... mint condition with 5 exposures! Flawless condition!

Just got off the phone with CLP. 7D is available for $959.36 body only. 5D3 = $2379.32.

Called this morning to see if the stars would align, but no luck. 24-70 II not yet available for CLP. However, there is new pricing for the T3i $352 (Body), $416 w/18-55 (before tax).

24-70II probably won't be available for quite awhile for CLP. Still too new.

Nice find!

I've updated the First Post to include this new option.
(Tested it and it seems to work well!)

Thanks Smacati for being on top of this!

I've tried the HomeBrew method to read actuations but couldn't get it to work on either of my Macs. I eventually used MagicLantern to read the actuations but would have preferred not to mess with the firmware on a new 5D3.
