Shot Bon Jovi @ Soldier Field in Chicago. I was in Madison, WI for training and saw that he was playing only a few hours away, so I contacted Getty and got credentialed. I talked with his management and got permission to hike up to the top of the stadium to get the wide shot with the Chicago skyline in the background (it was after the 2 song limit).

Fans pose for pictures in front of Bon Jovi's set.

That's a pretty high stage, kudos for not getting a bunch of "up-the-nose" shots! How long did it take you to get to the high shooting position???

Great set, how long did it take to trek from the pit to the nosebleeds? :)

Let's see... having to take several 2-3 minute breaks in order to keep myself from passing out, I'd say it took around 15 minutes to get all the way up there. :)

Still feeling it now in my calves. But yeah the stage was REALLY high. Had to stay back a good bit to keep the perspective.

Amazingly sharp photos Michael and thanks for sharing them. I really like #4 but the crowd/skyline shot is superb :)

I am interested in getting a copy of the picture you posted of the stage from the top of Soldiers Field. Please let me know if this is possible and what the size options are.

Thank you,
