It's amazing how much you can do with the Raw processors, with all the "edits" being stored in the photo metadata without altering the pixels!

Edits aren't stored in the metadata... they're stored in the catalog and/or cab files.

Ah, I was using "metadata" in a general term, although I'm not sure how accurate it is. And, DPP actually saves the edits into the Raw file, so different Raw processors handle things differently.

The point, though, is still that Raw processors save the editing info without altering the original Raw data!

Here's a shot of mine I recently edited;

IMAGE: http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2808/9383863875_62c1ac0803_o.jpg

On top of whats shown above, I also added a gradient overly to darken up the sky, as well as Brushes on the Water, the Bridge and the Houses of Parliament - there were 6 in total.

After that I then took the shot into Photoshop and done some additional adjustments - namely straightening out the Bridge, Running the shot through Silver Efex Pro then creating a luminescence layer, and bringing some of the detail out on the bridge and the HoP.

Nice work there, kiapolo!

It's cool how much "drama" we can capture and bring out!

...not having your LR info shown makes it somewhat hard to evaluate. Tony just stated 2 posts up - read the opening page to the thread regarding submissions - must include screen captures of the adjustments made. Great results I might ad. :)

Thanks.

While I've only submitted one photo and edit here, it's definitely one of my favorite threads.
