Yeah your right that's why for now I have been only using the 40mm pancake. And when I want more in my pic I back up if I need to get closer I move forward.. Definitely a good learning experience working with what I got Canon SL1-Canon 40D gripped-Canon 40mm Pancake-Canon 50mm 1.8-Canon 10-22
