@Adam have you tried somewhere a bit more specialised. There are companies that only do data recovery or pm Jonathan i am sure he would be able to recomend someone.

A shame you've lost the photos I would of liked to have seen, unless you have a link to the FB albums? :)

Hi Radders

There ones I mentioned earlier on the Donna Nook trip.......link to exact post here https://photography-on-the.net …hp?p=9140101&postcount=46

So apart from Adrian & Rich doing a wedding in the wilds of Dartford ;) anyone else out with their camera this weekend?

That was a great meal ~ you must have a good set of pans :p

@adrian
I definitely should have tried somewhere else too. I regret that deeply. Too late now though as I disposed of the drives some time ago.

I can guarantee that wont happen again too lol

@radders. Link me to your Facebook and ill send you a request, you can see my albums from there then. Bare in mind its a hobby for me though; im no pro ;)

Dammit. I thought I had more 300-800mm images on a facebook album but I haven't. Seems I lost all of them :-(

@FuzzSummit, that crashplan looks very interesting. Ill check it out a bit more later.

A shame some photos are missing in that thread now. Just had a proper look as I was busy in work earlier..

Another one from me from my recent trip to London. Not as good as the previous shot IMO, but still happy with it. The haloing is a bit annoying, might try and touch it up at some point.

I've started using 500px a lot more these days, ever since Flickr made those changes. Are any of you on there? I need to follow some more people!

Hi Mark

I do recall the previous one (similar to the above?) but this one sadly does not 'speak to me' like the other I think did. The RHS of the image (bridge/lamps and BG) look almost too CGI.............so not to my taste

As for 500px there are lots of us on here.......see my sig.......a goodly few of us do follow each other so if you just want to idle a few minutes away, for starters you could check out my "following" & "followers" ;)

Edit ~ however I do like this one http://500px.com/photo/41452344 (external link) nice composition, balance of zonal interest and overall "look" :D

Edit2 ~ and this one ain't too shabby either ;) http://500px.com/photo/15872685 (external link)

No worries mate, like I said, I knew it wasn't as good as my last shot! I'm more trying to experiment with new techniques - both in camera and in PP - so like all experiments the results are a bit hit & miss. Thanks for the feedback :)

Just followed you on 500 as well, i'll have a nose at your contacts ;)

edit :Thanks! I think the Big Ben one should be used in a Magazine sometime in a the near future, which i'm chuffed about. I got some similiar shots (using the sculpture again) on my most recent trip up so once I get round to editing them, hopefully they'll be somewhat decent. I like the Tower Bridge one too, but I wish i'd managed to shoot it during Blue Hour instead when the skies darkened, IMO it would have looked better with an ink-bottle blue sky! Oh well, there's always next time ;)

Here's a photo I've been after for ages, since my dad has a new scanner now and has decided to dig out hundreds of prints to scan, he came across this a photo I took when I was just 8, It got published in a Dutch magazine called Scramble as it was a rare aircraft at the time and even now this is the second photo I can find of it online with this registration. Photo was taken on 4th April '93.

Unsure of the camera I'll have to ask, but I remember it being manual focus :)

All I've done is scanned it and resized it to 1024x683. Might be of interest to others, Has anyone else got any photos they have taken when young?

Cheers fella, most of the feedback so far tells me I should re-attempt the PP. I'll try and have a go tomorrow & try something a bit more 'palatable'! Have followed you!

Hi Mark, nice to virtually meet you :)
I do like that photo a lot, my only gripe on it would be the halo effect around the buildings and maybe try to boost the shadows in the bottom left. Nice pic indeed.

I do like long exposure shots.
