I have a Tokina 12-24 and plan on upgrading my oldie to a 6D ... and keep the lens at least for now.
I'm aware I won't be able to go below 17-18mm without significant "vignetting", but will anything hit/rub? aka I don't mind limitations, just don't want to break stuff.
It should work well above 17mm, I imagine. My 11-16 works fine at 15-16mm.
Just remove the rear lens cap of your Tokina lens, and move the distance ring back and forth between 12mm and 24mm. While you do this, keep an eye on the rearmost glass on the back of the lens. See how far back it moves. If moves as far at the ring on the base of the lens' mount that presses against the camera's body, it won't interfere with the mirror nor anything else.
