I like it. It's not perfect, it has it's fair share of articles/advertisements (like most magazines now), but it has some interesting reading. Great for the price.

It's fairly decent, but c'mon...you're worried about something that costs less then a Starbuck's coffee?

I sub to most US photo magazines, it's so cheap that there's enough value in each, some duds excluded. British magazines are much better IMO, but also a lot more costly, so I only buy those that have something of value to me in them. None of them will tick off major advertisers of course, so don't forget that grain of salt :-)

Price isnt my concern. We get enough crappy magazines delivered to my house every month (wife), I don't need one more.

I can relate to that! As far as the content goes, if you like the great outdoors, then a couple of the articles each month will interest you...but probably not the entire mag.

The website in the OP's post seems to get mixed reviews as to their ability fulfill orders in a timely and provide customer service when things go awry.

Anyone have specific and recent experience?

Well if you are in a hurry I guess a person better pass, they said 2-3 months before the 1st
magazine is sent.
Not sure why that is but its in CS section.

It depends when the last issue came out. since this mag comes out every 2 months or so, they rarely send out the one that has just past.

if you had ordered a few days after the latest issue, you won't receive one for 2 months. Sometimes you get lucky and it comes in a few weeks

The magazine is pretty basic. You can learn a lot more on these forums. But, for light reading on the go, it's okay. Interestingly, I picked up a subscription a long time ago for 3-4 bucks and have received my official "last issue" for the past 6-7 issues! Not sure when they are going to stop sending them!! So you really get a lot for the price.

Just ordered a subscription. For less than the price of a pint, I'll give it a spin.

I bought a 3-yr subscription from a company like this a couple of years ago. Sure, it took a couple of months to kick in...but the price is so low that it didn't bother me one bit. $10 bought me a 3-yr subscription and I've been enjoying it ever since. Unless you hate magazines, it's a no-brainer...

My initial concern was not that the magazine subscription would take a few months to kick in - I know that can happen - but rather that the website selling the subscriptions would automatically renew my subscription at outrageous rates, or somehow have extra things charged to my CC that I didn't order, etc. You know, the kind of tricks that certain bait-and-switch camera stores might pull if they sold magazine subscriptions.

Anyway, this looks like a website that has occasionally poor CS, not deceptive tactics (based on what i read on the Internetz). I'll chance a late subscription for a few bucks...
