It mostly involved moving house and dropping external hard drives. A WD 1tb MyBook isnt as durable as I would've hoped lol. My iMac 2007 HD failed to an unrecoverable level (according to the local computer shop), I wasn't worried as I had it all backed up on the MyBook..... Then I moved house and killed the MyBook.

Whats the best way of backing up? I'm using lightroom now and have no clue about backing up properly.

P.S I'll work on a couple of shots right now, just for the thread.... dont expect prize winning stuff at this point lol

If you still have (drives) them you can recover the images, it may cost 400 ish but it can be done.

Lovely red kite shots :)

@ Sylvester , I disposed of the drives quite some time ago due to my thinking that it was game over. I definitely should have made more of an effort to recover them. 400ish would have been worth it. Live and learn.

Guys some help as I know a few have been recently. Looking at doing a Scotland trip on the next couple of weeks. Edinburgh for sure but where else, been told skye is nice and glencoe. Probably 6 nights on total. Any recommendations greatly appreciated.

We did the Trossachs last year which was very lovely, a beautiful series of lochs and forests with red squirrels, was great. The Loch Lomond part of the area was disappointing so I'd avoid there.

We also just nipped up to somewhere near Aberdeen but that was for a wedding so didn't get any sightseeing done.

Chris has just been too...I wonder if he's received his Kilt yet? I can then hand over the mantle of "bloke in a dress"!

Isle of Arran is dead nice, though probably out of your way. Lots of nice scenery & landscapes, not to mention little fishing villages and an old castle too! Bare in mind it's Fringe season in 'Burgh at the moment, so it'll be packed

Very nice

Couple taken by Rich and me on Saturday, my first African wedding and it was a bit of an experience, I think we were running an hour late and that was before the church service had even started !!

Very nice Adrian and +1 with Rob on the last one :)

On the middle one, I wonder if you can clone out the Emergency lighting cluster, alarm siren & the warning label just visible through the railings......the latter two being especially distracting as they are "red" and that colour does rather 'draw the eye' to it :(

That was a great meal ~ you must have a good set of pans :p
