Wedding -Washed out :(

Shot a friends wedding last Thursday and boy was I pushed to the limit. This is only my fourth but the previous ones were a breeze compared to this one. I had visited the reception venue with the couple the previous week in glorious sunshine. Day of the wedding it p1ssed down and the venue wasn't the biggest for areas to shoot in doors.

Having said that the B&G were wonderful and to be honest they are the sort of couple that if didn't turn up at all on the day they would just have shrugged their shoulders and said 'ah well' and went on to enjoy their day.

When we did get breaks in the rain the B&G were more than happy to take the time to head outside.

Anyway here's a few from the day.

Shooting on a cloudy day is much easier than shooting outside in full sunlight. Shooting in the rain is another story.

Way to make the best of it. Ill take an adaptable couple on a rainy day over the opposite any day...

Totally agree, but I'd have preferred even bright sunshine to the rain lol. I was still shooting outside at around 8:30pm, needed a flash light half an hour later to see where I was going.

Looks like you handled this like a pro, well done.

Deff much rather shoot on a cloudy day, much easier to have light control. These pictures look very nice to me.

Many thanks Just to give you an idea, because of the poor weather the dark clouds meant that the lighting in the church was woeful and I had to go as high as 5000iso at f2.8 to get useful shutter speeds. Thankfully I have a piece of software called NeatImage that has cleaned most of them up nicely

This one was taken about two minutes after image #4 above.
