Here are a few Burrowing Owl shots from sou†h Florida. The female stayed in the burrow pretty much the whole time (likely with chicks) but the male stood guard. He scrambled underground once when a Coopers Hawk flew over.

Love the "cartoon mad look" exhibited by their eyes... detail, captured & lined up BG is special as usual... beautiful work.

Thanks very much everyone. It seemed like forever waiting for this guy to move into the flower background. He didn't stay long, right back down into the dirt pit after a few frames. When the female is down with the chicks the male looks and acts pretty bored.
