Nice job. MY problem, isn't the lens hood. I just have vignetting with my 2 Wide lenses from Sigma with the 1DIII. As SMYTHIE said, it appears to be an internal construction design difference. Not MUCH of a problem, almost an incidental minor annoyance.

Yeah. The other UWA sigmas seem to have internally caused vignetting. If you decide to switch to an 8-16 you'll find vignetting much worse than what I posted for 8mm up till 11mm as previously stated. Or, you could be crazy and take a grinder to the permanently attached hood and find it usable at 8.5mm (11mm FF equivalent). Which is crazy wide.
