Mitez,

When I decided on the 60D, just like you, I had the same question. Several people here told me to avoid all three kit lenses and save up for the 15-85, which I did. I haven't regretted it for a moment.

For one thing, the lenses offered with the 60D are not the latest versions, in the case of the 18-55 and the 18-135. Both these lenses have been replaced with STM versions. I'm sure you have this but here's the link to Canon's lenses: http://www.usa.canon.com …ts/cameras/ef_lens_lineup (external link)

PS: many people do start out with the 55-250 for their first telephoto lens. For the money, most people seem satisfied with it as a budget lens.

Radders

I loved the journey into the 60D from the T3 and I for one am gald I did it. There is a brief adjustment curve and some getting used to but after that depending on how and how often you use it you will get over it and start loving the challenges it presents and well as loving the images that it produces.

I would agree with Kim. The 15-85 has come down by about $300 since I purchased mine and That means its quite a bargain for its image quality and quick AF

hi,

I am new to DSLR and this would be my first buy.
I have finalized to buy the Canon 60D :)

am a bit confused on my first lens though... shud i go for 18-55 or the 18-200? the landscape picture quality taken from18-55 and the same picture taken from 18-200 - Are they both of same quality? Which is better? (leave aside the cost and the convenience factor - I need an answer just based on picture quality). I dont mind carrying two lenses and changing them :) :) :)

Thanks a ton.

Just gone back to a 60D after the 7D I had for a very short while...I could not get many decent shots on the 7D without noise...
This is just a test shot with the new 60D that came today, ISO 400, and the colours etc are so much better, and the noise........what noise

Not your typical BIF shots... Unique angles and cropping make a big differnce. You've nailed it with these shots.

Thanks Clay :D

Wow that night scene is amazing!

Here's an image from a recent trip out to try some waterfall photography, this is my favourite so far, got a bunch more to sort through.
