Pat, sometimes I think my 5D can't focus worth a damn, but then I look at your photos and I realize that some people whine, and others take great photos. I'm just not getting enough practice if I feel that way. You really know how to use your equipment!

I had the weirdest thing happen to the 5D, JUST when i was shooting a wedding. When my shutter speed went over 1/1600s, the images were just black. I exposed correctly with the light meter, and nothing. Just a black image at 1/2000s, just a hint of light in the bottom of the image. Glad i had two of these babies.

Then when i came home, the problem was gone. I can take pictures with fast shutter speed again. I'm a bit worried.

It's possible your shutter is beginning to wear. It might get worse, or you might still have 100,000 actuations ahead of you.
