I've read a lot on the 600EX-RT's and I'm wanting to switch, but want to figure some things out first. Right now I have 580EX's and Pocket Wizards.
1) Sync speed. This only matters when it's off camera right? As in, with any camera (pre-2012 included), when it's on camera the factory sync speed always works like normal, right? When it's in radio wireless, it's 1-stop less than normal? Can anyone verify this with the EOS-M or not? What about optical wireless... do you still take a hit with sync speed?
I'm not looking for things read on the internet. I'm looking for someone to put a 600EX-RT on their camera and test sync speed (5D2 and EOS M), and to put a 600EX-RT off camera and trigger it with a ST-E3RT and see what you can get for sync speed with those same cameras. Please also list how you tested and what settings you got out of it.
2) No groups with 5D2, right? What 'bout EOS-M? Again, actual hands-on tests only folks.
Thanks and looking forward to the results!
