Not at all; I'm sure you'll like it a lot. It is a lot more intuitive than Photoshop for me.

Adobe is putting the finishing touches on version 5.2 (there is a release candidate out), so I'd wait for it to be final, download it, and then use your version 5 code to activate it.

There are some pretty good videos on Lightroom by Serge Ramelli on Youtube. He's a french photographer that uses it extensively. His accent is a little thick but his training is pretty good, check him out. I think most of his videos are for LR4, but they should be a pretty good primer.

Pretty sure it's almost universal. ;) My daughter is a rough and tumble horse trainer and will pitchfork a mouse if it gets in the grain but will go squealing away if she sees spider. lol
