OK to clarify

I had one chair there. I was finished with the chair and i was 30' away photographing at the river bank. Mom and kids got in chair when my back was turned away about 15 minutes before the MORON grabbed the chair and rolled off. 2 photographers in area with me helped me catch the SOB. We were finished with the chair and it was sitting by the gear and all the clients cloths and other props. Pretty hard to tell that a photo shoot wasnt happening but hey its a public park and no permits are required. You get what you pay for right:mad:....... and i picked up the pieces so the cops had it when they showed up.

Yup, i was Pissed off Big time.

This is the way I read it the 1st time.

There is only one answer that can save this situation - were the photos worth it?

I acquired an expensive camera so I can hang out in forums, annoy wedding photographers during formals and look down on P&S users... all the while telling people it's the photographer, not the camera.

I would say Yes. These are the proofs. Straight off camera results. Need to finish if she selects

Mike,
It is doubtful that the kid will get you your check on time . . . if ever. You should be prepared to pursue further legal action if/when you realize he is never going to pay you.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

The OP said his antique chair was busted into four pieces, then stated someone was sitting in the chair and he, the OP, asked the people not to sit in the chair as it was not very sturdy. How do you sit in a chair busted into four pieces? Working as a Structural Engineer, the busted up into four pieces statement and being able to sit in the same chair just didn't sound right. Plus I don't think the OP was taken pictures at the time the mom and three year old were taken pictures. The OP was talking to the police at that time. Also why was the chair twenty feet away from the OP while he was talking to the police? He said, he had just retrieved the chair, he must have shown it to the police officer as proof of what happened so he must have had the chair in his hands at that time. Other wise the officer would not have told him to contact him if the check for the damage to the chair was not received by Monday.

I thought I read it clear that there was a bike rider and a rollerblader and both had chairs.
**edit I guess it was not that clear LOL. One chair.

I am taking it there are a lot of bored teenagers in Minnesota.

Sorry about your frustrating night. I am glad you are getting reimbursed.

My only question is whether you (guy with the camera) attempted to take at least one photo of the incident while the chair was taken? That's what I woulda done... less than a second to throw the camera onto AI Servo and snap a couple of shots.

Taking photos with a fancy camera does not make me a photographer.
