My first contribute for this thread, coming from 1100D, still need learn a lot to getting out the best form 6D

Does the 6D eos app allow you to control the bulb timer? Let's say I want to do a 2 minute exposure and didn't have a wired remote. Do I have to hold the shutter button down on the app for 2 mins or is there a way to set this in camera? Or even magic lantern but i didn't see an official release for this camera.

With the eos remote app you have to hold the button down same as on the camera during the entire bulb exposure, unfortunately.

Get the RC-6 wireless remote (about $20) and use this for your bulb exposure, which allows to press the button once at the beginning and once to finish the exposure.

You can use the eos remote app for composing and live view focus, and the RC-6 remote to fire the shutter, it doesn't have to be one or the other.

Was afraid of that. I really don't want another accessory to carry around so the app will have to suffice for now. I'm planning on testing out this cokin like filter set I just bought from Amazon. Hoping I can get some 1-2 min exposures in direct sunlight.
