Had a go at shooting the Perseids the other night, saw a couple of meteors but not on camera, these are my efforts. Need a tracking mount I think, and find somewhere really dark :D

Just received a copy of Spotlight magazine using a shot of mine taken of the Beech Avenue between Wimborne and Blandford by Badbury Rings for the cover.

Sorry Ken. You will have to put up with my rough and ready snapshot of the thing here. You can see the original on my zenfolio site: rcb4344.zenfolio.com

Wasn't this the row of trees that appeared in a Countryfile calendar a few years back?

Been playing outside in the dark again tonight, 100% crop from the Sigma 120-300.

The day was cut short by rain but nobody cared. The staff were fantastic and flew the birds wherever we asked and could not have been more helpful. If anyone wants the details, let me know and I'll post them up.

Off to Swanage tomorrow for a day of shooting with my new toy!! As i was home earlier than expected, Nicki took me into Winchester and bought me a 5D3!!!!:D

Thanks Ken. Wish I'd had the 5D for today but really looking forward to Swanage tomorrow.
Playing with long exposure shots of the old pier is a must but can see quite a few other subjects getting shot to death and the shutter count taking a battering!

Next weekend will be spent at the Wings and Wheels show back where I used to live in Surrey so that's another 2 days of planes, bikes and cars! Should be fun.

Website rubbish, Center is small but could not be better. Staff are really friendly and helpful.
Small hint, if you do one of the photographic days down there, take a packed lunch as the restaurant in the garden center is ok but VERY expensive for what you get!!

I did the day through Michael Palmer http://www.photoexperiencedays.com/ (external link)

Well worth it and Michael is a great guy.
