A picture of some moss I took at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. Nothing much else was growing yet. :)

Some amazing shots here guys !! I'm thinking about picking this up as well but was wondering, now that you guys have had it for a while is it still a great alternative to the 15-85 ? Have you noticed any shortcomings now that you got more familiar with it?
Thanks in advance

Just got my lens and for almost the first time EVER I have been shocked in a good way over a sigma lens! This lens is SHARP! I have gone thru 25+ lenses and this one just blew me away out of the box.

Just a few quick shots trying out my new flash toys...

First a grid for my flash.

And I finally got some umbrellas.

Not many people seem to own this lens. I read elsewhere that it has mushy edges and corners. Especially at the wider end. I was wondering if this is due to certain camera/lens combinations or the old 'getting a good copy' dilemma.

Canon 450D/XSi (Retired), Canon 70D, Canon 18-135mm F3.5-5.6 STM, Canon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 EF-S IS, Canon 55-250mm f/4.0-5.6 EF-S IS, Canon 80-200mm f/4.5-5.6 EF II, Sigma 30mm F1.4, 430EX Mk I, Canon Powershot S2 IS, Canon Powershot S90 IS, Sigma 1.6x closeup lens.

It's not a well-known lens. This new version hasn't been out that long. Many like myself who have the previous version are happy with the lens they have now and don't see an urgent need to upgrade. You might want to take a look at the thread on the previous version here: https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=790964
The improvements made over that lens were primarily cosmetic with the addition of an FLD glass element which would reduce CA and improve sharpness a bit and the ability to use the USB adapter to make adjustments to the lens. The OS and many of the other details about how the lens handles, AF speed and acquisition are reported to be pretty much the same.

I am serious....and don't call me Shirley.
Canon 7D and a bunch of other stuff
