Zeiss Distagon T* 2/28 ZE

Time to unsubscribe. Just sold this gem this morning.

As great as it had been for me, I just wasn’t using it enough to justify keeping it.

How is the distortion on this lens?

And I can't understand why.

I am going to give it another shot. Ordered it yesterday.

I absolutely loved it when I had it and used it; looking to re-kindle the magic we had.

Among other contenders was 35/2 ZE. But, I find 28mm more interesting than 35mm. I prefer the 28mm perspective much more than 35.

I thought about 50/2 MP. But I already have a 50L. And if, for some reason, 28/2 doesn't work out, I still may go that route.

A quick snap - and I knew I was in love, again..! (BTW, taken wide open, and no sharpening applied. Pretty much SOOC). I love its close-up focusing ability.

Beautiful colors, even if they are muted from the dim lighting. The sharpness is stunning. This is the Contax version, yes?

I want this lens sooooo bad. I miss the 28mm, 50mm, & 135mm set up I had from my film days. Slowly building the collection back up.

Thank you, Mason. Actually, this is the ZE (Canon) version.

And like you, I can see myself building the collection back up, too. I used to have 21, 28, 35 1.4, 50 2.0, 85, and 100.

Agree, this is an awesome lens.

If mine doesn't sell, I may have to take it out and make some more pictures with it.

I've made a mistake once of selling it.

I'd say - just keep it. You'll miss it.
