Yeah 2Go is one of the better ferries out there. I am not sure what really happened but there are a lot of people still missing. :(

Sabay sabay na naman trahedya dyan.

My speculation Steven is natutulog yung navigator nung isang barko and not monitoring the RADAR and/or doing a proper look out. Yung mga larger ships naka auto pilot lang kung minsan.

What I saw from the news was that the tail end of the ferry got hit by the cargo ship.

Even the manifest and list of people missing don't match. Lots of confusion. :(

All I can think about are bum prints. ;) I'm going to assume that these photos were Japanese beaches?

I hate to say this but manifest means nothing. My personal experience riding the Boracay ferry was scary. It was so overbooked that I had to sleep on the floor. Not even a seat were available. On the other hand I wasn't surprised. It was on the tail end of a typhoon and everyone wanted to get home.

If you've ever taken a ride in a boat back home I wouldn't be surprised at all if the manifest don't match. Although 2Go is one of the most organized ferry service there, it is still far from organized.

Although if I remember correctly they are the only ferry company who takes your ID pic when you check in. So they should have a full list of the passengers unless they don't do that anymore.

I never saw one with a cute bum prints in there  hehe

Yes that one was taken in Sotoura Beach in Shimoda, and the photos above it are from Chuo Shirahama in Shimoda. It's a lovely place :D Not so crowded too.

Except they have this sign everywhere hahahaha

Mr. Tony it's not new, in the news yesterday it's 40 years old. I just check online and written on wikipedia is this:

The ferry, named after the Catholic Saint Thomas Aquinas,[5][6] was a 455-foot (139 m) long roll-on/roll-off ferry capable of transporting both passengers and their vehicles.[7][3] It measured 11,000 tons and was commissioned in 1973.[8] It was operated by 2Go at the time of its sinking.[3]

Some group will try to file something to query on why a 40 year old ship was still allowed to run/carry passerngers or something like that.

Yeap, although in my opinion, 2Go maintains their ships quite well. It's an Aboitiz company afterall ;)

No sir, it's a popular landmark in Philadelphia called the Boathouse row.
